Tucked away this season behind a somewhat ‘easy to miss’ door on Brick lane was the new House of Peroni, a fairy’s dream, I say. Once past the two upbeat beautiful ladies that greeted me at the entrance, the enchantment suddenly began.
I would describe it as a seasonal reminder that Italians do it better, and once inside, I was agreeing wholeheartedly. While some may visit the residence exclusively for the drinking experience, a welcomed part of British culture, I visit for the visual artist atmosphere it provides to compliment the amazing cocktails and array of drinks available at the multiple bars.

Created by director Simon Costin, the theme this season was quite floral andsummery, the outside indoors, but executed in such a way that the flora around you seemed natural to the environment. A standout area for me was the overhanging flowers and herbs from the ceiling of the interior. This gave an earthy ethereal feeling the complimented the stone tiles and the herbal flower cart next to Bar del fiori, where staff of the restaurant regular visited to pinch a few herbs.
Guests sipped on some of the best Italian cocktails by award-winning Italian molecular mixologist, Simone Caporale, Assistant Head Bartender at The Artesian Bar at The Langham Hotel that included an eclectic combination of fresh flowers, strong alcohol and summer fruits. What more could a cocktail lover ask for!?
Simon Costin was able to create an indoor garden with the right mix of open space, yet an atmosphere of being in a well landscaped outdoor area. You almost forget there are other strangers amongst you as the house is intimate, filled with beautiful people, who i must say, were all very nice. A very inviting experience ar the House of Peroni residency.
See you next season! x
